Absolutely. Before I was a developer, I taught beginner computer classes. I pride myself on explaining technical concepts in plain English—no confusing jargon allowed. My goal is to make you feel empowered by your technology, not intimidated by it.
I know something is wrong with my workflow, but I don’t know the solution.
That is actually the best place to start. You don’t need a technical plan; you just need a “pain point.” Tell me what task is frustrating you or taking up too much time. I will analyze the problem and propose a solution—whether that’s custom code or just a better way to use your existing tools.
My project is really small. Can you still help me?
Yes. I don’t just take on massive website builds. Sometimes the most valuable solution is a small script that fixes a specific annoyance—like an automation that renames your files or watermarks your images. If it saves you time, it’s worth doing.
Do I need to use a specific platform like Shopify or WordPress?
No, I am “platform agnostic.” If you are starting from scratch, I will recommend the best platform for your goals. If you have an existing site (Shopify, WooCommerce, Custom), I can jump in and make the changes you need.
I don’t live in Kingston. Can we still work together?
Yes! While I am based in Kingston, Ontario, I am fully set up for remote work. I work with clients across the globe using Zoom or Teams. We can share screens and solve problems just as effectively as if we were in the same room.
Will you teach me how to use my new website or tool?
100% Yes. I believe in the “teach a person to fish” philosophy. I will never hand over a project and disappear. I provide training (often via video call or recorded tutorials) to ensure you are completely comfortable managing your new system on your own.
How much does it cost?
Because I offer custom solutions rather than “cookie-cutter” packages, pricing varies based on the complexity of the problem. However, I always provide a detailed quote before we start any work, so there are never any surprise bills.
